Reva & Chad Wedding Featured!!! : Lakeland Wedding Photography
Rava and Chad's outdoor July wedding was HOTT in so many ways!
The ceremony took place in Hollis Gardens, Lakeland and the reception across the lawn in the Peggy Brown Building. I took in some of the last AC for a few hours and shot some details.
Then it was time to get busy with the ladies.
The next four have got to be some of my favorite bridals, I was loving the harsh light against the vivid greens!
I especially love this one!
Now Reva warned me over and over about the crazy groomsmen but I just think she was being harsh.
and the individuals, didn't they have an awesome bridal party?
Ceremony time!
There is nothing better than to get a bide and groom alone on their wedding day, it is so much fun to capture that love and emotion.
group shots are fun!
time to party!
when you wear all black in July, you deserve to be treated like Johny Cash.
continuing with some dramatic off camera flash to the dance floor.
always look up, you never know what cool things are above
I told you it was HOTT, a big congratulations to Reva and Chad!!

Lauren & DJ Start Wedding Featured!
You may remember Lauren and DJ from their rock star engagement session. Well, they totally rocked their summer wedding. The ceremony took place at the Homeland Methodist Church est. 1887 in Bartow. The whole church complex gives a sense of the past, but the church itself is a cute little building topped off with a working bell tower. The day started with a "first look" under a giant oak tree. We snagged a few creative shots before the 90 deg heat kicked us back inside. A quick cool down, bell tower rings and here comes the bride! The ceremony was perfect, Lauren and DJ have such an amazing family who love and support them. Then it was time to move the party to the Sorosis Building. And a party it was! You know you have a fun group when a slow song plays, and the dance floor empties. The night would not be complete without a send off full of hugs and sparklers!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Start!
first looks are so romantic
There are not many times where the groom has more bling, but when you are a national champ you can sport stuff like that.

A humble step towards the future:
Photography has always been a part of my life, but for the last 5 years it has influenced me tremendously, the most being in the last year. You may or may not know this about me, but in college I was an accounting major and an art minor. That probably makes no sense to a lot of you, but to me it was the perfect combination. It gave me the opportunity to live the American dream with my wife, yet still stay true to my creative side. It was while completing my art minor that passion for photography began. Those late nights spent in the dark room or studio, inspired me to learn as much as I could in such a short period of time. After graduation, the American dream took over the creative passion. Photography was still something I enjoyed and did regularly as a hobby.
It wasn’t until a little over a year ago that I stumbled onto some really creative work. I always thought wedding photography was boring; shoot, mine was! But this was different. This was creative, modern, passionate, romantic, and fun! This is what I wanted to do!
So I invested in some better gear, got a web page, and began marketing. I was shooting for the stars and loving every minute of it!
I have learned so much in the past year; I feel like my style is finally beginning to develop. Those late nights in the studio are starting to pay off, and I get overly excited sharing my work with clients.
I have heard and seen the benefits of blogging and only a few months ago recently, began blogging myself. So now, I would like to welcome you to the new official website/blog. I made the change for a few reasons-one, it can be customized easily and displays much larger images. Two, it can be viewed on all your favorite apple devices :) Also, as I evaluate my brand, this website/blog gets me excited about the future. So take a minute and check everything out, there will be some additional changes in the near future so make sure to stay tuned!
You will also notice a slight change in the business name. In addition, I want to share a little history of “Sunglow.” It was originally named after my favorite surf spot, a pier in Daytona where you could catch a solid ride and everyone in the water surfed with a passion. So it began with a dream in the ocean, and has developed into a life style and a passion.
I have enjoyed the relationships photography has given me and don’t take any of them for granted. I simply have a vision, it is all of you who make my work what it is!
I hope you will visit often, I hope you see my work as more than just an image on paper or pixels on a computer screen. Instead, I hope it is something inspiring, something creative, and something that tells a story to last a lifetime.
