Lindsey & Dillon
First Presbyterian Church and Venue 650 Wedding in Winter Haven, Florida
A Christ-Centered Wedding at First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven & Venue 650
Timeless Black Tie Florida Church Wedding
Some wedding days are simply beautiful. Others feel deeply meaningful from beginning to end, rooted in something greater, filled with intention, and overflowing with joy. Lindsey and Dillon’s wedding day was exactly that.
Their classic black-tie-optional ceremony took place at Winter Heaven First Presbyterian Church, a place that holds deep significance in their story. It’s where they first met as children, and the very same church where Lindsey’s parents were married, making the moment feel full-circle in the most meaningful way.
The celebration continued at Venue 650. where the night unfolded with an unforgettable dress change and a reception full of energy, joy, and celebration.
From the very beginning, their vision was clear: a reverent, Christ-centered ceremony surrounded by the people they love most. And every part of their day reflected it.
A Morning Full of Anticipation
The day began quietly and intentionally.
Lindsey spent the morning getting ready at the church, surrounded by her bridesmaids, with every detail thoughtfully chosen. From a handkerchief passed down from her great-great grandmother to her grandmother’s pearl bracelet, every piece she wore carried meaning.
Meanwhile, Dillon prepared on the third floor of the church, carefully tying his bow tie and counting down the moments until he would see his bride walk down the aisle.
They chose not to do a first look, saving that moment for the ceremony, which made everything feel even more weighty and emotional.
Before seeing each other, they exchanged letters. Quiet words. Private prayers. A pause before everything began.
Wedding Ceremony Rooted in Tradition
Set inside First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven, their ceremony was both sacred and intentional.
Lindsey made it clear that she wanted the day to feel joyful, but rooted in faith, and that was evident in every detail. One of the most powerful moments came during the ceremony itself, where they participated in a unity cross braiding a beautiful symbol of Christ at the center of their marriage.
They also included a laying of hands prayer before the vows, creating a moment that felt deeply personal and spiritually significant.
An Effortless Kind of Elegance
As the ceremony concluded, there was a sense of quiet joy, one founded in the commitment they had just made before God and their loved ones. With hearts full, Lindsey and Dillon stepped into their first moments as husband and wife before beginning portraits.
They were especially excited to incorporate the church’s classic staircase, a timeless backdrop that added so much elegance to their images. The light poured in beautifully, creating a soft, natural glow that made each moment feel even more refined. Olivia from The Southern Swann was there every step of the way, thoughtfully adjusting each detail and ensuring Lindsey looked absolutely perfect, allowing everything to come together seamlessly.
A curated elegant evening
From there, the celebration continued at Venue 650, where every detail of the reception had been thoughtfully brought to life by Maggie Jane Events. A soft palette of white and light blue set the tone, classic, refined, and effortlessly elegant.
Guests gathered for an outdoor cocktail hour, enjoying the golden light of the evening as the energy of the day shifted into celebration. It was the perfect setting for conversations, laughter, and anticipation for what was to come.
As the night unfolded, Lindsey and Dillon shared their first dance, beautifully choreographed and full of intention. It was a moment that felt both polished and deeply personal, a reflection of who they are together and the joy that carried throughout the entire day.
BRINGING CLASSIC VIBES TO A MODERN DANCE FLOOR
As the dance floor opened with Josh from Enchanting Entertainment on the decks, the energy of the night shifted into full celebration. With music setting the tone for the evening, guests filled the floor and the atmosphere quickly came alive.
Lindsey surprised everyone with a stunning dress change trading in her ceremony look for something made for the dance floor, bringing a fresh burst of excitement to the night. Custom sunglasses made their way out to guests, adding a fun, personal touch, while LED wands lit up the room and kept the party going strong.
From start to finish, every moment built effortlessly into the next, creating a reception that felt both intentional and unforgettable.
The night ended the way every great celebration should, with Lindsey and Dillon surrounded by their favorite people, running through a tunnel of glowing sparklers as they made their grand exit into the next chapter of their story.

Golden Hour Magic at Lake Louisa State Park
Some evenings just take your breath away, and Julia and Brad’s sunset engagement session at Lake Louisa State Park was one of those unforgettable evenings. The park’s golden fields and tall pines set the perfect backdrop for their session, glowing with that signature fall Florida light that makes every moment feel timeless.
Among the Pines | A Romantic Start
We began our session tucked beneath the towering pine trees of Lake Louisa, where the filtered sunlight created a soft, moody glow. Julia and Brad were completely in sync, laughing, exploring, and sharing quiet moments among the tall trunks and textured forest floor. Their first outfit perfectly matched the cozy, natural vibe of the woods, setting the tone for a relaxed and romantic evening.
After capturing some sweet, woodsy portraits, Julia and Brad changed outfits as the sun began to dip lower in the sky. That simple outfit and subtle transformation of the session, bringing a touch of elegance and movement just in time for the most beautiful light of the day.
A Field of Gold and Genuine Connection
As we stepped out of the pines, the landscape opened into a field of tall grass glowing in the evening sun. The light turned golden, wrapping Julia and Brad in warmth as they walked hand in hand, laughing between frames, and soaking in every second of that dreamy sunset.
Their connection was effortless to capture, they were relaxed, playful, and so clearly in love. The golden light surrounded them as the sun disappeared behind the trees, giving us the dreamiest, glowing portraits to end the evening.
Why Lake Louisa Is Perfect for Engagement Photos
Lake Louisa State Park is one of my favorite locations for engagement photos in Central Florida. With its mix of pine forests, wide-open fields, and unforgettable sunsets, it’s the perfect spot for couples who love natural, romantic settings with a touch of adventure.
If you’re planning your own engagement session in Central Florida and want that soft, glowing sunset light, Lake Louisa is an amazing choice. Whether you’re drawn to the rustic charm of the tall grass or the quiet beauty of the pine woods, this park offers endless opportunities for authentic, sun-drenched images you’ll cherish forever.
Julia and Brad, thank you for letting me be part of this moment—it was truly golden in every way.

Alyssa & Brian
St. Joseph Catholic Church and Venue 650 Wedding in Winter Haven, Florida
Winter Haven Timeless Wedding at St. Joseph Catholic Church and Venue 650
Elegant Florida Wedding
As a Central Florida wedding photographer, documenting weddings like Alyssa and Brian’s reminds me why I love what I do. Alyssa, a Winter Haven native, returned to her roots to say "I do" at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, the very place where she once attended school. Following the ceremony, the celebration continued at Venue 650 , a rustic-meets-modern warehouse space that perfectly accommodated their 250 guests for a Florida indoor wedding reception and featured a beautiful outdoor courtyard for cocktail hour.
The day flowed effortlessly thanks to Jennie Maretti of Pixies and Petals, who brought the couple’s vision to life with seamless coordination and light, airy florals that tied everything together beautifully.
Getting ready with your best friends.
Alyssa and her bridesmaids got ready at Venue 650 in Winter Haven, Florida, while Brian and his groomsmen prepped at Staybridge Suites nearby. Alyssa stepped into her gown from Solutions Bridal in Orlando, surrounded by family and friends. Brian kept it classic in a black tux and white bow tie from The Black Tux.
Take time during your wedding for moments that matter to you.
Before the ceremony, Alyssa shared a series of first looks, one with her father, another with her brother, and a sweet reveal with her bridesmaids. In a playful twist, her father even pranked Brian by stepping in for the couple’s first look before Alyssa made her actual entrance. When she and Brian finally saw each other in the courtyard at Venue 650, it was a calm, genuine moment that allowed them to pause and soak in the day together.
To make the most of their day, the couple also chose to take full wedding party photos before the ceremony, giving them more time to enjoy cocktail hour and celebrate with their guests afterward.
Formal Catholic Wedding Ceremony
A short drive away, the ceremony took place at the stunning St. Joseph Catholic Church. This Winter Haven wedding venue offered the perfect blend of tradition stain glass and architectural beauty, made even more special by the fact that Alyssa grew up attending the church. The couple was married by a priest who had known them for years, adding a personal touch to the ceremony with heartfelt words and a few well timed jokes that had everyone smiling.
Alyssa and Brian exchanged vows in front of 250 guests, surrounded by soft florals, meaningful glances, and happy tears. With formal portraits and family groupings planned for after the ceremony, the church altar served as a breathtaking setting for capturing the joy shared between the newlyweds and their families.
One of the decisions Alyssa and Brian made was including a second photographer in their coverage. This allowed for unique angles—like a stunning overhead shot of Alyssa walking down the aisle—and beautifully candid moments behind the scenes.
Modern Industrial Charm Wedding Reception
Guests were welcomed back to Venue 650 for cocktail hour in the outdoor courtyard, followed by a full evening of celebration. Known for its modern industrial charm, Venue 650 was transformed with mirror accents, soft lighting, and a vibrant LED dance floor from I Rock Your Party.
Jennie Maretti at Pixies and Petals expertly designed a reception that beautifully balanced modern style with classic elegance, creating a timeless atmosphere for Alyssa and Brian’s celebration.
The reception featured thoughtful details like a custom wood guest book, DIY seating display, light-up foam wands, and bride and groom foam fingers, all of which added personality to this Florida wedding celebration.
Perfectly Curated Wedding Photography Coverage
Alyssa and Brian’s wedding balanced meaningful tradition with modern style, from their ceremony in the bride’s childhood church to the reception at the sleek Venue 650. With careful planning and thoughtful details, their day was a true reflection of who they are—and a celebration their guests won’t forget.

Ansley & Dennis
Banquet61 Wedding in Downtown Lakeland
Micro Wedding at Banquet61 in Downtown Lakeland
A Wedding Rooted in Love, Simplicity, and Family
Ansley and Dennis’ wedding, held on April 18, 2025, was a display of what truly matters, love, laughter, and meaningful time with the people who matter most. Hosted at the elegant and intimate Banquet61, their day was full of conversation, ease, and genuine connection.
When asked what was most anticipated about the day Ansley shared “Marrying my best friend and being able to spend quality time with our families on our special day.” Their wedding was intentionally small, with just 30 guests. It was exactly as they envisioned: intimate, meaningful, and filled with authenticity.
Thoughtful Details and Walkable Locations
From the start, Ansley and Dennis wanted their wedding to reflect who they are as a couple. Thoughtful details like signage featuring their beloved dogs, Buddy and Panama, and a handmade bar sign brought their personalities into the space.
The day began with Ansley getting ready at the Lakeland Terrace, wearing a custom gown designed by Olivia at Southern Swan Bridal. After a heartfelt first look with her father, it was just a short walk to the aisle. With no formal wedding party, the focus remained entirely on their love and the presence of those closest to them.
A Joy to Photograph
For a photographer, this was the kind of wedding that invites you to focus entirely on emotion. The couple cared less about rigid timelines and more about capturing genuine, meaningful moments. Formal group portraits were simple and efficient, taken immediately after the ceremony.
After mingling with guests and sharing a drink during cocktail hour, we took a short walk to Lake Wire for a few natural-light portraits. Strolling casually along the promenade, the time was kept brief so the couple could return quickly to the celebration and continue enjoying the evening.
Fine Dinning and Meaningful Conversations
The reception was held at Banquet61, where the intimate atmosphere was perfectly complemented by elevated catering from Nineteen61. The space was beautifully enhanced by Sam at Be Bella Events, who brought the couple’s vision to life with soft, elegant florals and subtle design touches that perfectly complemented the intimate setting. From the entrance signage to the delicate centerpieces, every detail felt personal and effortless.
There was no pressure for formalities, just a laid back cake cutting with close friends and family, and the desire to truly be present in every moment. Instead of a grand exit or send off, they wrapped up the night with hugs, laughs, and talk of maybe continuing the celebration downtown.
A Lasting Impression
It was truly an honor to be there to witness it all. Even with just two and a half hours of photography coverage, we were able to focus on what mattered most, capturing the connection, joy, and intimacy of the day. The result is a collection of images that tells their story beautifully and will be cherished for generations to come.
