Ering & Kyle
Erin & Kyle's Romantic Davis Islands Garden Club Wedding | Tampa Wedding Photographer
A Colorful, Personal Start to the Day
There's a reason Davis Islands Garden Club keeps showing up on our list of favorite Tampa wedding venues, the lush landscaping, downtown skyline view, the natural light filtering through the trees, and the timeless charm that makes every couple's portraits feel like they belong in a film. Erin and Kyle's December wedding was the perfect example of what makes this venue so special, and we're so excited to share it with you as a Davis Islands Garden Club wedding photographer who got to be part of their day from first look to last dance.
Erin's morning began at a cozy Tampa Airbnb surrounded by her bridesmaids, with hair and makeup by SMP Makeup Artistry setting the tone for a day full of warmth and detail. As a Tampa wedding photographer, the charm and variety of spaces to get ready for your wedding are a great reason to reserve a Airbnb for your bridal prep.
Erin's vision for the day centered on a palette of pink, orange, and yellow, echoed in the floral arrangements by Sarah Rose Events and carried through even in the handmade table signs featuring the couple's baby photos — a personal touch that made the whole celebration feel unmistakably them. Meanwhile, across town, Kyle and his groomsmen were getting ready at their hotel before heading to the venue, coin tucked into his shoe as part of a cherished family tradition passed down through generations.
Ceremony & Portraits at Davis Islands Garden Club
By early afternoon, the wedding party gathered at Davis Islands Garden Club, one of Tampa's most requested garden wedding venues, for a 3 p.m. ceremony surrounded just over 100 guests. The couple chose not to see each other before the ceremony, saving that first glimpse and every bit of the emotion that comes with it for the aisle. Do you think that was the right choice? Look at Kyle's face!
Erin's vision for the couple's portraits was clear from the start: fun, romantic, and full of color, using the garden club's natural greenery and landscaping as a backdrop. It was the perfect complement to the soft, golden light December weddings consistently deliver. Later, as dusk settled in, Erin and Kyle slipped away for a quieter, more intimate portrait session, moody, romantic, and shot with a vintage black-and-white feel that matched the oldies playlist setting the mood for cocktail hour.
A Garden Party Full of Joy
The reception carried the same warm, colorful energy through dinner and dancing, with a tablescape of glass bud vases, floating candles, and floral centerpieces designed by Sarah Rose Events, and sweets from The Salty Donut rounding out the evening. Erin and Kyle's choreographed first dance kicked off the party complete with a show-stopping lift had guests on their feet. Catering by Salt Block Hospitality kept the celebration going well into the evening at this beautiful Tampa wedding reception venue.
From the first details captured that morning to the last dance under the string lights, Erin and Kyle's Davis Islands Garden Club wedding was a celebration of color, family, and timeless romance. If you're planning a wedding at Davis Islands Garden Club or anywhere in the Tampa Bay area and looking for a Tampa wedding photographer who will capture both the big moments and the quiet, personal ones, we'd love to hear from you.
